Guide

Cover

Draw a picture or design based on the month’s theme or something happy and positive! You can even add uplifting words like Smile, Have a Great Day, or Happy Holidays.

Step 1

Start of your letter with a greeting such as Hello, or Dear friend.

Step 2

Introduce yourself, for example, “My name is _____, I’m currently in __th grade. I’m writing to you to send some positivity your way!” This adds a personal touch! (Avoid adding personal details like your private contact or school.)

Step 3

This portion is the meat of your letter. One way you can write it is by adding more about yourself, but always tie it back to the reader.

For example, “I cannot wait for the summer time and to do fun activities like going to the beach, and having picnics!! Specifically I love hanging out with my favorite people. Hopefully this rekindled the warmth and excitement of the summer time we will soon feel, I can’t wait!

Alternatively, you can include well wishes for the holiday seasons, your own short poems, or share words of strength and encouragement!

Step 4

This line is not necessary, but adds a nice touch to the card! To end the body of the letter, add a quote or remind the reader of a positive trait of theirs. For instance, “Also, I’d like to remind you that you’re so strong!”

Step 5

Finally, to end your letter sign off with your name. For example, say “Sending positivity your way, _____”.

Happy card making!
